About Us

We are a group that, through shared experiences, identified the need we have to navigate microaggressions in several parts of our lives (work, school, etc.). We've found community in discussing our experiences of being targets of bias, misogyny, racism, or xenophobia and want to educate the ways microaggressions show up in our daily lives. 

For those unaware, microaggressions are the seemingly polite, passive-aggressive, yet subtle ways of insulting or demeaning an individual or group. 

With that in mind, we've put our spin on the “Hello My Name Is” badge by detailing various microaggressions, their origins, how we cope, and how they limit us from achieving equity. Each “Hello” badge has a QR code that links to a definition. We hope to spread this information to foster empathy, understanding, and change.
